‘Zo Inpui’ inauguration on Aug 9, 2010
Aizawl: The Zo Re-Unification Organisation (Zoro) is wroking “actively” toward the realisation of Zo Inpui for “better coordination” among the different Zo tribes.
Zoro leaders told mediapersons on June 17 here in the state caiptal that the 2007 UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples had already passed that small tribes would ultimately be declared as nationalities and that they are working to achive that dream when all Zo tribes will be united as one nation.
“Zo Inpui will be inaugurated on August 9, 2010 by Honorable Governor of Mizoram Pu M M Lakhera ,” Zoro leaders said.
Zoro also said that all political parties in Mizoram have sent their representatives to make this new apolitical body a grand success.
“We call upon all Zo tribes to walk hand in hand for the creation of better nation and development of the people,” they added.
