Summer trip to Banff, Canada

August 14, 2010 : Today, my dad and I went to Banff. We started heading out at around 12:00 PM. It took about an hour and a half to drive to Banff. When we arrived, the city was full! We went all over town but we just couldn’t find a parking spot. After awhile, we decided to go to the Banff Gondola. When we arrived at the parking lot, there was alot of people. Luckily, we found a parking spot. After we parked, we went inside and got a hot chocolate and a coffee. Then we got a ticket and went on the gondola. It was scary at first, but then it turned fun. When we got to the top of the gondola, we went on the board walk. The mountains were really cool. After walking for about 10 minutes, we spotted some squirrels on the rocks beneath us. We took some pictures and moved on.

At the end of the board walk, there was a house. Inside the house, it looked like what a house would look like in the 1900s. It was a beautiful view from the top of the mountain. After a couple of minutes, we headed back. Before we got back on the gondola, we went to the giftshop. At the giftshop there was alot of cool stuff. We bought a magnetic picture of the gondolas. After that we went back down the gondola. It was getting dark, so we had to find a parking spot. We found one near a hospital, and stayed there. We went to the Masala to eat dinner. After eating dinner, we went back to the car and went to bed.

August 15, 2010 : Today we woke up at 4 because we had to move our car. After we moved the car, we went back to sleep. We woke up at 3 and went to McDonalds. I ate breakfast there and we went back to the car. We decided to go to the museum, but it was too early. So we decided to go to Tunnel Mountain. When we were at Tunnel Mountain, we took alot of pictures. We got on the highway but we had to turn around. On the way back, we got a glimpse of the campsites at Tunnel Mountain. When we got back, the museum was still closed so we decided to go to Cascade Gardens. The flowers were beautiful there.

When we got out, the museum was open, so we went inside, and there were really realistic animals there. I got to see what the Native Indians traditional clothing was. I also got to see this ritual called the Sun Dance. After we got out of the Museum, we decided to go home. On the way home, we stopped by Cranmore and went to Tim Hortons. The line was really big. After we went out of Tim Hortons, we went home straight.
